Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about using The QF Project.

General

What is The QF Project?

The QF Project is a free community companion site for The Quinfall MMO. We offer an item database, build guides, a character planner, community forums, guild tools, and more.

Is The QF Project free to use?

Yes, The QF Project is completely free. We sustain the site through optional donations and non-intrusive advertising. All features are available to every user.

What languages are supported?

The QF Project is available in 7 languages: English, Turkish, Russian, German, French, Spanish, and Portuguese. You can switch languages using the language selector in the navigation bar.

Who built The QF Project?

The QF Project is built and maintained by ExperienceTechSoft, a solo developer studio. The site is powered by community contributions — players can submit guides, report bugs, and suggest improvements.

Is this an official Quinfall website?

No. The QF Project is a fan-made community resource and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to The Quinfall or its developers.

Database

How many items are in the database?

We currently have over 1,400 items including weapons, armor, accessories, crafting materials, consumables, mounts, pets, and more. New items are added regularly as we discover them in-game.

How do I search for items?

Use the search bar on the Database page to find items by name. You can also filter by category (weapons, armor, etc.), subcategory, rarity, and level. The global search (Ctrl+K) also searches items across the entire site.

An item is missing or has wrong stats. How do I report it?

Use the Bug Report button (bottom-right corner on every page) to report missing or incorrect data. If you have the 'database' permission, you can also submit item edit proposals directly.

Are the item stats accurate?

We extract stats directly from in-game data and auction house screenshots. Stats represent base values without enhancement bonuses or Power Stone effects. Grade and level affect final stats — our weapon stat formulas model this scaling.

How does the Crafting Calculator work?

The Crafting Calculator lets you select craftable items, set quantities, and calculate total resources needed. It breaks down multi-step recipes so you can see every raw material required for bulk crafting.

Where can I find ship data?

The Ships tab in the Database has all 8 ships (Raft, Boat, Frigate, and Warship in both Trader and Pirate variants). Each entry includes durability, speed, cargo capacity, weapon slots, build costs, and full crafting recipes with material requirements.

What are the Event Timers?

The Event Timers page shows countdown clocks for all scheduled in-game events on both EU and NA servers. Timers update in real time so you never miss a boss spawn, territory war, or world event.

Character Planner

What is the Character Planner?

The Character Planner is an interactive tool where you can build a complete character loadout — select your weapon type, choose a subclass, pick skills, equip gear, allocate Power Stones, select a Talisman set, and simulate enhancements. It calculates your total stats in real time.

How do I save my build?

After creating a build in the planner, click 'Save Build' to save it to your account. You'll need to be logged in. You can save builds as drafts (private) or publish them for the community to see.

Can I share my build with others?

Yes! Published builds have a shareable link. You can also share builds directly to Discord using the share button if you've set up a Discord webhook in your dashboard.

How does enhancement simulation work?

The planner shows you how your gear stats scale at each enhancement level (+1 to +15). It displays the percentage bonus, gold cost, stone requirements, and success rate for each level. Stats marked 'estimated' for +12 to +15 will be refined as we gather more data.

What are Power Stones and Talismans?

Power Stones are gems you slot into gear for flat stat bonuses (up to 3 per piece). Talismans are 4-piece armor sets from 12 lineages that grant set bonuses at 3-piece and 4-piece thresholds. The planner calculates both into your total stats.

Guides

How do I write a guide?

You need the Contributor role to write guides. Go to Guides > New Guide, choose a template (build guide, profession guide, etc.), and start writing. Guides support Markdown formatting and item references like [[item:101011]] that link directly to database entries.

Do guides need approval?

Yes. All new guides start with 'pending' status and must be reviewed by a Moderator or Admin before they appear publicly. This ensures quality and accuracy.

Can I edit someone else's guide?

Only the original author and Admins can directly edit guides. If you spot an error, you can submit a suggestion using the suggestion button on the guide page.

What weapon build guides are available?

We have build guides for all 10 weapon types: Sword & Shield, Two-Handed Sword, Spear, Dual Axe, Dual Dagger, Bow, Dual Crossbow, Arcane Staff, Life Staff, and War Hammer. Each covers both subclasses, key skills, talisman recommendations, and PvE/PvP tips.

Community

How do I create a guild?

Go to Community > Guilds > Create Guild. You'll need to be logged in. Fill in your guild name, description, recruitment message, and settings. You'll be assigned as Guild Leader automatically.

What are the forum rules?

Be respectful, stay on topic, no spam or self-promotion, no NSFW content, and no real-money trading. See our full Community Guidelines for details.

How do I report inappropriate content?

Click the report button (flag icon) on any guide, build, comment, or forum post. Select a reason and add details. Reports are reviewed by moderators within 24 hours.

How do I earn higher roles?

You can request role upgrades through your Dashboard > Request Role. Contributor role is granted to users who demonstrate helpful participation. Moderator roles are assigned by Admins based on community trust and activity.

How do I use the Discord bot?

Add the QF Project bot to your Discord server (link on our homepage). Use !help to see all 9 commands. You can search items (!item), look up skills (!skill), find guides (!guide), check recipes (!recipe), and even create full builds (!createbuild) that save directly to the website.

What are build discussion threads?

When a build is published publicly, a discussion thread is automatically created in the Discord server's builds forum channel. This gives the community a place to discuss, rate, and suggest improvements to each build.
